Born in 1877/78, Charles was one of six children of William and Sophie
Dean of Thakenham in Sussex. He married Lydia Carr, at Milton St James
Church, Milton, Portmsouth, on June 18, 1902, at the time he was serving
aboard HMS Orlando.
Charles and Lydia had five children, Charles, Lydia, Frederick, Albert
and Ernest. When his daughter Lydia was christened on Novemebr 11,
1905 Charles was serving aboard HMS Alberta. |
